Event description
Event date: 22 November 2022, 16:00–17:30 CET
In this ITU webinar, speaker Prof. Muriel Médard will present her and her research group’s work on the development of the method titled Guessing Random Additive Noise Decoding (GRAND).
In the recent debate on the adoption of 5G wireless technologies, the key issues of standardisation and maintaining data integrity rely on developing and employing error-correcting codes. The new method developed by Médard’s research group has shown universal, code-agnostic decoding as appropriate for low to moderate redundancy settings in wireless technology.
Apart from this technological advancement, participants will have the chance to hear firsthand from Prof. Médard about her journey, as a young researcher, in the field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).
