Event description
Event date: 16 November 2022, 18:30–20:30 CET
The closed-door discussion co-hosted by the CyberPeace Institute, the Geneva Graduate Institute, and the Diplomatic Club of Geneva will centre on the threats of cyberattacks against the humanitarian sector and the role International Geneva should play.
As humanitarian organisations become targets of cyberattacks, they must direct focus and resources to counter such threats and identify potential harms to their beneficiaries. The impact of cyberattacks is particularly devastating for the operations of these organisations, especially as humanitarian actors deliver critical services for the vulnerable during violent conflicts and disasters. It is more than urgent to safeguard NGOs against cyber threats.
This event will consist of a panel discussion of experts and a cocktail reception afterwards.
