Event date: 22 November 2022, 14:00–15:30 CET
The Digital Health and Rights Project (DHRP) will be hosting the Digital Justice: How Social Media is transforming Young People’s Health and Rights webinar to share findings from a transnational participatory action study that examines young people’s experiences with digital health in Bangladesh, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Vietnam.
An increasing number of young adults start turning to social media platforms, such as Facebook, YouTube, and others, for anonymous sexual and reproductive health information inquiries. On the one hand, there are still populations that do not enjoy access to online spaces for digital health. On the other, there remain security and misinformation issues to be resolved.
The DHRP will shed light on which policy recommendations and good practices could both challenge structural inequalities and meet the needs of young people.
