Event description
Event dates: 18–19 May 2023
The world is currently veering off course in achieving the health-related sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030. There are substantial gaps in data availability and capabilities for monitoring progress towards the SDG targets, particularly in supporting marginalised communities.
Leveraging the 2021 Health Data Governance Summit and its statement as a foundation, the Health Data Collaborative (HDC) partners are jointly organising a hybrid event to advocate for health data as a global asset by: (a) identifying and promoting effective data governance practices at the national level and (b) advocating for investments in health informations systems (HIS) guided by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) SCORE (Survey, Count, Optimise, Review, Enable) for Health Data Technical Package.
