The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will co-host a workshop on 'Securing the infrastructure and applications for digital financial services' with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank Group, and the Bank for International Settlements. The main objective of the event is to present the findings of the Security Infrastructure and Trust Working Group. Topics that the conference will cover include: tracking digital Ponzi schemes; implementation of decentralised ID for decentralised financial services (DFS); and, mitigation of signaling system 7 (SS7) vulnerabilities and threats for digital financial services.
