The 2017 Annual General Assembly of the Internet Society Switzerland Chapter will take place on 29 March, between 13.00 and 20.30 CET, at the University of Bern.

In addition to the General Assembly meeting, dedicated to members only, the event will also include a public session which will feature presentations and discussions on current Internet matters. The public session will be divided in two parts: 

  • National discussions: Activities of the Reporting and Analysis Centre for Information Assurance (MELANI) to protect critical infrastructure and help tackle cyber threats; Privacy considerations and encryption; and The battle against Internet blocking in Swiss law.
  • International discussions: The IANA transition process and ICANN; and The Internet Governance Forum process.
